Spring Newsletter 2018

mai 9, 2018

Dear AmCham Members,

Since the last time I wrote you, AmCham has been moving ahead with its strategy and, in this newsletter, I’d like to highlight two programs in particular which are at the heart of our actions.

For the fourth year in a row, with the support of Citi, we organized our very successful Women’s Week Paris in March. The theme «leading together» stems from our belief that to encourage diversity and to have more women leaders, we must all work together – men and women, different generations, as well as the private and public sector. Our recently published white paper puts forward concrete actions around four areas: reducing the income gap between women and men, encouraging talents and women leaders, promoting women in science and especially in tech, and shaping governance structures to include more women. You can find the paper here. AmCham is also making a difference, as just two weeks ago we launched the second edition of the Women Coding for Success program which encourages young women to develop digital skills and gives them the confidence to apply for jobs in tech, where women are underrepresented.

The second program is part of our digitalization strategy as we continuously aim to bring you – our members – added value and an easier, more personalized user experience. We will soon launch our new website, which has a searchable directory, event registration, member to member deals, and the possibility to not only consult your invoices online but also pay your membership fees.

I look forward to accomplishing more projects together in the months to come, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the Annual General Meeting 2018 on April 5th, where members will vote on the new statutes and will elect the 2018 Board of Directors and President.

Best wishes,

Jérémie Gallon

Managing Director
