Christopher Kramme co-heads BNP Paribas’ EMEA Corporate Coverage team, composed of 700 bankers in 42 locations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, providing a full range of financial services to large corporates, midcaps and the regional operations of non-EMEA multinationals.  

Chris started with BNP Paribas in Paris in 1999 in corporate finance before moving to corporate development, where he spent several years as Head of Projects, working on acquisitions, divestitures and strategic partnerships in the US, Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia.

In 2005 Chris joined the Commercial Banking Group at Bank of the West in San Francisco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas.  Following positions in credit, relationship management and business development, he was named to the Bank’s Senior Management Committee in 2006 as Head of Strategic Planning and Administration, Commercial Banking.

In 2008, Chris moved to Paris where he built a team charged with the coordination and development of the Group’s automotive finance activities, which include leading European positions in consumer finance, wholesale finance and fleet management.

In 2010, Chris returned to CIB, heading the Multinational Coverage team covering key non-European clients, before also assuming responsibility in 2014 for the local teams covering subsidiaries of corporate clients across Europe, and then adding responsibility for the bank’s midcap franchise in 2015.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Chris has his B.S. from the Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his MBA from INSEAD.  He is Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in France and has an active interest in a family farming business in Iowa and South Dakota.  Chris lives with his wife and two children in Paris.
